Lovely Gorgeous Things Joins Creative Cornucopia Fair - Sunday 13th March 2011
On the 31st October 2009 Vanessa Wallace launched ‘Lovely Gorgeous Things’ - a range of handmade, vegan friendly skincare products which show your skin just how much you love it.
Vanessa decided to create this range after successfully juggling a career in finance with a long term hobby in photography; however she experienced chronic illness and eventually disability which prevented her from returning to her passions. Yet, this life changing period actually provided her with an unexpected inspiration and a new passion.
Following surgery, she sought out a product that would help diminish the scarring and would also agree with her sensitive skin but she experienced some difficulty in locating a suitable product. So, after being introduced to raw shea butter from Ghana and seeing what a wonderful feel it had as well as the visual change in her skin, Vanessa seized the initiative and drew on her knowledge of ingredients that have been historically used for treatment in both African and Caribbean culture.
Vanessa soon began experimenting with a wide variety of skincare ingredients and eventually, Lovely Gorgeous Things was born with the philosophy of “Made by hand, made with love, made for you xx.”
Lovely Gorgeous Things produce vegan friendly, handmade skincare products using natural and nature inspired quality ingredients, including: exotic oils, natural butters (including unrefined shea butter that is sourced from a Women’s Co-operative in Ghana) and lots of other yummy ingredients that are kind to your skin. With prices that are affordable and gentle on the pocket, Lovely Gorgeous Things hopes to make an impression without breaking the bank! This combined with the use of minimal packaging (which is recyclable where possible), means we can be both kind to you and our planet.
